Picture
I am a sculptor and textile artist. I work with materials that I find or come upon in the environment.  Being directed by these materials means I work in the moment.   I am compelled by the randomness and the possibilities in these moments. The materials direct my movements; they inform what techniques I may use – I knit, I glue, I weave, I wrap, I stitch, I hammer…whatever is necessary. Because of the way I think about the materials and the environment, my work becomes a social commentary.
